Content & Email Marketing

From May to July 2020, Richard worked as a Marketing Consultant at Forrest Solutions. There, he used to InDesign to design and write copy for 11 customized flyers, with 48 variations. Richard deployed that content in 41 email and multi-touch campaigns.

Richard wrote, designed, and sent 57k emails in Pardot in 11 campaigns. Using email verification tools and campaigns, he cleaned the Salesforce CRM by 11%. Richard built 30 Persist IQ Campaigns, using an Account Based Marketing approach – sending 34k emails to 11k prospects, with a 24% open rate, and 218 replies.

Ghostwriting & Public Relations

Working as the Content Manager and Head of Content at Hokku PR, from May 2015 to March 2016, Richard secured press placements at The New York Times, TIME, and Business Insider, among others. As a ghostwriter, Richard worked with C-level executives at tech startups in real estate, conversational marketing, and web services to write bylines reflecting their industry expertise. Richard developed relationships with editors, and produced content for Forbes, TechCrunch, AdAge, and Fast Company

Email Marketing & Automation

Within the first twelve months of joining LiquidSpace, in March 2016, Richard wrote email copy for 115 batch & nurture email templates in Marketo, resulting in 413K sends and an a 10% Clickthrough Rate. He worked with the design team to develop visual concepts for the messages, and collaborated with the CRM Manager to build out drip programs based on audience data and engagement. Richard coded each of the 115 emails in HTML/CSS, using branded templates that he put together according to the company’s design standards.

Pardot Engagement Program

In this program, I coordinated a targeted email and call campaign for a VP at Forrest Solutions. Using a Pardot Engagement Program to trigger alerts for opens, and clicks, we were able to ensure that the VP was able to get in touch with prospects at the time of intent.
